ORIENTING AND BALANCE
February 8, 2020 @ 9:00 am – February 9, 2020 @ 2:00 pm
A Feldenkrais® Method Workshop
Finding your way, Improving your Balance
How we orient, to ourself and the outside world affects our sense of self and our sense of balance.
To help us maintain balance the brain has to receive information from 3 sensory sources which all work together for orientation:
- Visual system (eyes)
- Vestibular system (middle ear)
- Proprioceptive system (joints)
We will do a series of movement explorations to learn from the feet up to the eyes how all our systems work together to keep us grounded and balanced.
This workshop is appropriate for people who:
- Are experiencing a balance or spacial awareness challenges.
- Want to continue to feel stability for comfortable living.
- Are curious to learn more about the Feldenkrais Method.
- Are considering enrolling in a Feldenkrais Training.
No prior Feldenkrais experience is required
